Adventure on the Riviera Maya

Hatch-225Zip Lining, repelling, cenote swimming or diving, hiking the tallest Mayan ruin in the Yucatan . . . these are all adventures that we can organize for you on your trip to the Riviera Maya.  We have the largest selection of adventures to this area than any other wholesale travel company in the U.S.   Here is just a sample of our packages:

Zipline-225Three Cenote Multi-Sport Adventure Day:

We have an adventure that is very close to the popular city of Playa Del Carmen and some of the area’s best resorts.  This large privately owned area houses an underground river, 3 open cenotes for swimming and several underground cenotes for diving.  Our tour here starts with your private guide who takes you on a series of 3 ziplines that float above 2 cenotes and above the lowland rainforest.

Monk-225After you complete your zipline, you pick out a mountain bike and then follow your guide through the forest to a sacred Mayan cave where a Mayan shaman gives you a blessing and speaks about the cultures of the Mayans and the surrounding caves and animals.  You then take your bikes to a deep underground cenote that is accessed by repelling ropes, (supported by 3 assistants with safety lines), down a 30-40 foot opening.  At the bottom you are guided with headlamps and snorkeling gear through a series of underground caverns and then lifted on ropes back to the entry area.  After another mountain biking tour you can return to the open cenotes for swimming in the crystal clear and clean water.  This entire tour takes 3 ½ hours.

Snorkeling with Sea Turtles:

Dolphin Destiny offers a snorkeling afternoon in the Bay at Akumal at the turtle preserve.  This tour is great for beginners or advanced snorkelers.  We also offer this same area to scuba divers.

4 Wheel Drive Tour of Sian Kaan National Park

Sian Kaan is one of the largest reserves in Mexico and is very wild and beautiful. This tour has two parts.  First, we take you on a tour in a 4×4 or SUV vehicle through the dirt track that separates the Caribbean Sea from the lagoon and the mangroves of the Sian Kaan Reserve, to arrive to our pier, where we will board our boat.  Halfway there, we will stop at the Boca Paila bridge to watch the crocodiles in an area where the sea and the lagoon meet. Coconut trees, mangroves and the Caribbean coast will be our scenery during the tour through the strip of land to access Punta Allen.

The second part of the tour is a 3-hour boat ride around Ascension Bay. In these 3 hours of sea crossing, you will be able to watch dolphins, sea turtles, various types of birds such as roseate spoonbills, cormorants, frigate birds, pelicans and ospreys in their natural habitat. After all this contact with nature, we will snorkel in the barrier reef and relax in a natural pool, before we go to lunch at the restaurant.

Amazing New All-Inclusive Resort at Akumal:

Resort-475We are featuring a new Secrets adult all-inclusive resort on the Riviera Maya.  This resort just opened in November of 2015 and is ideally located along the famed white-sand beaches and calm, clear waters of Akumal.  The resort has an elegant and original design highlighting nature’s elements.  This rates as one of the top 10 beaches in Mexico and is renowned for its green sea turtle population.
